Q:  What the heck?

A:  LOL

Q:  What is this all about?

A:  The Achievement Awards is a way to rate your participation on the site.

Q:  What do I have to do to earn an Award?

A:  Earning awards is easy. If you click on the Achievement link, you’ll see all the Awards you can unlock. Included are the details of how to unlock it.

Q:  How do I know how many points I have?

A:  If you click on your profile or visit the ‘Members’ link, you will see details listed in the right side of your screen, including a leaderboard which is posted on the main page. You can also click the ‘Achievements’ tab in your profile for more information.

Q:   I already received an Award and I was notified via email. Will I receive an email each and every time?

A:  Yes. However, if you don’t want to receive emails, you can simply turn it off. To do that, go to the very top of the screen, on the ‘Grey’ bar select ‘My Account’ scroll down to ‘Settings’ then ‘Notifications’. Once there, scroll down to the bottom of the options and select the option you want. You can also click the tabs if you visit your profile page.

Q:   Currently, there are only 4 Awards to earn, will there be more?

A:  Yes. Besides earning Awards for specific actions on the website (which there are at least a dozen), you’ll be able to earn Awards for tasks completed in HOME. For instance. Let’s say, A new award was posted called, “Get DOD’s Hat!” and the goal was to steal DOD’s hat when he was sleeping. Once you completed that task, you will be issued the ‘Get DOD’s Hat Award.’

Q:   Can I create a task? Can I create the Award Badge?

A:  Absolutely! If you have a great idea for a task, please share! As a matter of fact, if you submit an idea and your idea is accepted, you’ll receive an Award for that! Same goes for the badge.

Q:  I noticed in the description area of the Award it says “Beta”, what’s that about?

A:  Currently, it’s easy to get Awards but since we are in the “Beta” phase, that will change. When it does, all of the awards will be reset and you’ll have to accumulate points to receive the Award. For instance. Right now, you receive 5 points for replying to a message. Once the “Beta” phase is complete, you’ll have to reply to 5 messages to earn the Award (that’s just an example).

Q:  Can I trade my points in for a prize? Are they worth any money?

A:  Money is out of the question but a gift or prize doesn’t sound like a bad idea. That’s something worth exploring.

Q:  Can I contribute a prize, like a gift card?

A: Excellent Idea. Sure! There might even be a ‘Big Heart’ Award!

Q:  When will the “Beta” phase end?

A:  In about 1 week.
