Ugh. Of my 7 attempts at free daily poker, I’ve gotten 2nd place 4 times. 2nd place has got to be the most annoying place. It seems like I’m a little better than the average bear at Texas Hold’em. I know when to play ’em, and I know when to fold ’em, usually. But there’s always that 1 guy at my table who’s head & shoulders above the rest. When that 1 guy is on fire, I usually am able to out-last the others, but once he turns all his attention towards me, I’m only able to last so long. Even on my good games, going 1-on-1 with that one guy just never pans out. And just like that, I had to go through the ENTIRE game for nothing. I’d much rather play a table full of high-skill players or a table full of average guys than what I’ve been facing. Either wipe me out quickly and mercifully, or give my slightly-better-than-average skill a chance to prove itself. But for the love of the god of Home, (which I’m assuming is GlassWalls,) don’t set me up for another 2nd place finish!
