Greetings, superheroes and citizens alike! I’m excited to announce that Team PSTALENT will be supporting Extra Life 2013! Last year, the awesome people at Team PSTALENT participated in a 24-hour gaming marathon and raised $564 for their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals! This year, our goal is to play 25 hours and raise $650, but we can’t do it without your help! Please consider supporting us as either a participant or a sponsor:
Participants: Register to participate in Extra Life 2013 under team “PSTALENT” and select a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital location to support. Then, spread the word among your friends and family, asking them to sponsor you and your children’s hospital of choice. This year’s marathon will be held the weekend of November 2nd. Due to the end of Daylight Saving Time, Extra Life 2013 will be a 25-hour gaming marathon! Don’t let a commitment on November 2nd stop you from joining; Extra Life operates on the honor system and allows participants to make up the game time later. (In fact, their safety notice also encourages frequent breaks.) What matters most is the time you put in before the event to raise money for the kids!
Sponsors: If you can’t participate, you can still be a sponsor! Literally every dollar counts, and it also goes a long way towards showing moral support for the participants! Donations are tax-deductible and ALL PROCEEDS go to help kids!

Okies, less than 2 hrs ago I completed my 25th hour of gaming. I raised $282 which is 113% of my individual fundraising goal, but will still be taking donations (use link to my donation page above) to help Team PST (http://www.extra-life.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.team&teamID=10814) reach its goal (currently at 48%) and rooting for all those that are still completing their hours and reaching their goals too! GO TEAM PST! 😀
Please join me in congratulating those that completed the marathon and wishing good luck to those still finishing up and working to reach their goals! Despite DDoS attacks on the Extra Life website, the gaming community raised over $3 Million for the cause as about 8:20pm CST last night so YAYS for that great accomplishment! Donations will be accepted until 12/31/2013, so there’s still plenty of time beyond this weekend to raise even more! 😀

The gaming marathon is tomorrow! I hope all the participants are ready for it! I had a chance to visit the Extra Life booth while at E3! I saw the winning t-shirt design for 2013 and it’s pretty cute! I wish I remembered to get a pic, but here’s 1 I found online:
